



On Sunday, February 15, EURO Jazz 21 concert series launched by “Jazz am Rhein e.v.” presented Johannes Lemke Trio at Rheinisches Landesmuseum Bonn. Although the concert attracted only a few jazz fans (approx.40) saxophone player (alt- and soprano) and bandleader Johannes Lemke together with his partners, André Nendza (bass, bass slit drum) and Christoph Hillmann (drums, udu, kalimba & framedrum), performed a powerful and highly enjoyable two-hour show featuring a well balanced mix of world music and contemporary experimental jazz. Throughout the concert the group – on this occasion supported by the brilliant Hungarian violinist Zoltan Lantos - surprised their engaged audience with harmonic musical interactions with some unexpected rhythm changes as well as with impressive individual solos.
