City Views Bonn – Seven Mountains Jazz Company in Concert

On Thursday, June 28, Seven Mountains Jazz Company was invited by a local newspaper to play an evening concert in face of Sterntor at Bottlerplatz. For 2 hours the 6 piece band, led by the trumpeter and singer Charly Weber entertained many enthusiastic jazz fans – many of them were enjoying a drink on the surrounding terrace cafés – with a good mix of instrumental and vocal old time jazz arrangements. Seven Mountains Jazz Company is a band with a large repertoire of traditional jazz standards spanning New Orleans, dixieland, Chicago, swing, as well as bebop and latin. Seven Mountain Jazz Company was established in 1995. After a reshuffle of the band personnel, the new ensemble recorded its debut album in December 2005. It’s called St. Louis Blues and can be acquired directly from bandleader Karl (alias Charly) Weber. The musicians of the local jazz band which performs on high level are: Michael Buschmann (drums), Eugen Endres (tenor banjo, guitar, vocals), Richard (Richie) Hellenthal (trombone, tuba), Horst Pfeiffer (sousaphone), Laly Primo (clarinet, saxophone) and last but not least Karl (Charly) Weber (trumpet, vocals).
